Books of the Bible – Bookmarks!
My kids have been working on learning the order of the books of the Bible. Part of this is learning to read the Table of Contents, and part is simply memorizing the order. There are lots of ways to do this, including games and songs. However, they love fun and colorful bookmarks, so I thought I’d make these Books of the Bible bookmarks!
If you’re looking for a simple tool to help your kids (or for yourself!) find, learn, and memorize the books of the Bible, these bookmarks are just for you. Keep one of these bookmarks in your Bible for the next time you’re looking for a particular book. Not only will it make it easier to locate the book, but you’ll learn the books of the Bible as you go.
These printable bookmarks are free for email subscribers (also totally free to become a subscriber). If you’re not yet a subscriber, SIGN UP HERE and you’ll immediately receive an email with a link to download! If you’re already a subscriber, head over to our freebie library to get your copy. If you prefer not to subscribe or just want to buy a copy it’s also available in my Etsy shop. I’ve kept the price low, and I would appreciate and love reviews if you purchase anything!
Creating these bookmarks is simple! I printed these double sided on heavy cardstock. Actually I printed one side, put the paper back in my printer and printed the second side on the back. My printer is supposed to do automatic double sided printing, but it’s a huge hassle to make it work. So, I find it’s just easier to do it manually 😀
For my kids, I printed them at the standard size, and bought these little Clear plastic pockets that are the perfect size to put the bookmarks in. And I also got these cute little tassels. You could also use twine, ribbon, or yarn. You could dress them up with beads, or braid the yarn or create your own yarn tassel!
For this one I printed each side on a separate sheet of paper, and then used glue dots to attach them to the front and back of a piece of cardstock. After I used my hole punch to add a small hole at the top, I added some twine and a few beads, and voila! Bookmark!
You could simply print the bookmark and trim it to the correct size. Easy peasy bookmark for kids! Or, you could print, trim, and laminate. I printed this one at 125%, to make it oversized at about 2.5 x 7.5″. It works particularly well on the one that has all the books of the Bible on one side, as that font is particularly small.
Optional Supplies:
- White cardstock
- Construction paper or cardstock – optional
- Laminator – optional for this project, but definitely a staple in my homeschool supply closet.
- Paper Trimmer – scissors work fine, but I really like how even the lines are with a trimmer.
- Tassels for bookmarks
- Clear bookmark holders
Pin it for later!
